It is currently believed by a number of Rife researchers, such as Aubrey Scoon, that the Rife Ray No. 4 machine frequencies are the true Mortal Oscillatory Rate (MOR) frequencies, as opposed to the super regeneration frequencies used in the early 1930's by Rife. These frequencies resulted most likely from the work of Phillip Hoyland, who Dr. Milbank Johnson employed to make Rife's frequency instrument a practical medical device. It is believed that this unit was designed  about 1935. The fascinating test of this machine documented by Jack Free in October, 1935 used a B. Typhosis culture in ampules placed at different depths in a 73 pound chunk of the rump of a freshly killed horse. The machine was turned on for an exposure of 3 minutes at 400 watts. Afterwards the ampules were removed, opened and slides prepared from each one. In all cases, the pathogen was destroyed, while a control ampule out of range of the Rife Ray No. 4 still had a thriving growth. See details at www.rife.org/published.html   10/35 Copy of the test done on No. 4 Rife Ray Machine.

QST 1930's.pdf  -  This is a summary of articles from the Official Journal of the American Radio Relay League throughout the 1930's. Based on the John Marsh papers located at www.rife.org/published.html : ??/35 Switch Settings and MOR for No. 4 Rife Machine and ??/35 Hand written notes on No. 4 Rife Machine about switch settings, I believe that the articles I have listed from this journal provide enough information to build a vacuum tube replica of the Rife Ray No. 4 machine. I believe that amateur radio leaguers were building comparable machines in the early 1930's. There were three variable tuning capacitors, one each in the oscillator grid/cathode tank circuit, oscillator output tank and output amplifier tank. For each tank,  up to ten coils could be selected, one for each frequency band.

MAX038.pdf  -  My modern solution to the Rife No. 4 Machine will be a computer/LabVIEW software controlled frequency source based on the MAX038 High Frequency Waveform Generator. I will have to design a wider range power amplifier than the Scoon Booster Amplifier. I hope to have a prototype of the Rife Ray No. 4 by Spring or Summer this year.

Freq Unit MOR Comparisons.pdf  -  This chart was an attempt to correlate the MOR frequencies used by different generations of frequency devices from the 1930's to the 1950's. I can see a relationship of mixed frequencies between the super-regeneration system and Rife Ray No. 4 machines. I developed a LabVIEW program to calculate the mixed frequencies that were theoretically produced by the super-regeneration system. However, I don't feel comfortable about this analysis, since literally hundreds to thousands of other frequencies are also generated in the process. There is an obvious harmonic relationship between the 1939 Beam Ray and 1958 Allied Industries instrument frequencies. But, I can not find a relationship between these two sets of earlier and later instruments.
