Best Solutions was founded in 1999 by Jim Berger. BEST Solutions is a part time venture, and Jim is currently employed as an Engineering Specialist in Automated Test at a major health care corporation.

Jim’s Experience

Jim has 14 years experience designing test equipment using National Instruments LabVIEW software and data acquisition hardware to test medical devices. The following is a list of the more important LabVIEW Computer Based Test Systems Jim has designed, developed, verified and validated over the past decade:

  • Design of Infusion Pump Automated Calibration & Flow Accuracy Test Station
  • Design of Infusion Pump Highly Accelerated Life Test Stations
  • Design of Infusion Pump Automated Performance Test Stations

Jim has software programming experience with LabVIEW, LabVIEW Real Time, LabVIEW FPGA, Motion Control and Vision. Jim has used National Instruments hardware products such as PXI, SCXI, PCI, PCMCIA, USB, Real Time Controller, sbRIO, FPGA and cDAQ for data acquisition and instrument control, as well as Motion Control and Vision products.

Two years ago Jim became a mentor and sponsor in the First Technical Competitionand First Robotics Competition at Howard Area Leadership Academy, Chicago, IL. In their first year of competition as a rookie team, they won the Think Award at the FTC Illinois Regional and the Judges Award at the FRC Wisconsin Regional.
